We’ve been desperate to do a feature on trays ever since we thought of the headline ‘Tray Chic’ and skipped around the house saying, ‘Tray chic! It’s FUCKING GENIUS!’ and singing Girls Aloud ‘I Don’t Speak French’ for 10 minutes until a flying-sock-on-mantlepiece incident (don’t ask; let’s just say it was expensive) sobered us up.
But despite our deep love of puns, the main reason we wanted to do a feature on trays is because they’re just so bloody brilliant at making it look like you’ve got your home decor shit together. Got a messy bedside table? Chuck everything on a pretty tray = instant boudoir. Random crap on the hallway shelf? A little gold tray will make it all look orderly. Motley selection of booze bottles and mixers on your sideboard? Add a lacquered tray and guess what? You’ve got a styled home bar! TRAY AMAZING!
